In the fall of 2023, an incumbent member of Blackfoot City Council stepped down and allowed for new candidates to run. Cara Fitzgerald, new to the political world, stepped foot into candidacy and ran a relatively successful campaign; garnering attention and endorsements from notable community members. These graphics were distributed through signs, billboards, and social media.
